Telstra's Network Applications and Services group registered revenue growth of 10.5 per cent in FY2012, increasing to $1.3 billion. The NAS group covers services such as videoconferencing, telepresence, managed data networks as well as enterprise security services.
Overall the telco's revenue grew 1.1 per cent to $25.4 billion.
"Cloud-based services and storage are growing in parallel with data usage," Telstra chairperson Catherine Livingstone told the telco's AGM today.
"Our ambition is to seamlessly deliver data to any device, anywhere on our network, anytime our customers want it," Livingstone said. Network applications and services, including cloud, has "significant potential" in Asia as well as Australia, Livingstone said.
Last year Telstra announced it would invest $800 million in cloud over five years and registered NAS revenue of $1.14 billion, 10.7 per cent growth over the previous year.
In June this year Telstra appointed David Burns to head its NAS group.
