CIO50: Australia’s top 50 tech leaders

The 2022 CIO50 Australia will celebrate the achievements of the top 50 senior technology and digital executives in this country who are driving innovations, building good cultures, and influencing leadership teams across their organisations.

This year, the top 50 will be judged based on responses provided by entrants under two pillars: Innovation and Influence.

For two-and-a-half-years, CIOs and their teams have delivered new hybrid work environments for their organisations. In many sectors such as healthcare and education, senior technology executives have more power and influence than they ever have, largely due to their performances during the devastating pandemic.

In 2022, we are also introducing four Best Project awards that highlight the achievements of technology teams in the following sectors: Financial Services, Healthcare, Government, and Not-For-Profit.

Also in 2022, CIO will present our first Hall of Fame inductee, seven years after the CIO50 program began in Australia.

Nominations are now closed. Nominations will be reviewed and marked by our CIO50 judging panel (see the Judges’ section for biographies and backgrounds) who will rate each section of the questionnaire to determine the final list.

Your responses will also form the basis of written profiles of our top 50 list, which will be revealed at an exclusive dinner in Sydney in November.

The profiles will be written by CIO Australia’s editor-in-chief, Byron Connolly, and associate editor, David Binning.

Stay tuned for more story announcements and updates on the CIO50 for 2022.
